  • Calculate the current hand an opponent may have
  • Calculate the probability of winning the game
  • Determine the probability of several players winning a game

How fast is Poker Prophesier?
As a yard stick: on a Windows XP Pentium 4 2.8GHz system, Poker Prophesier can complete the most intensive analysis, mathematical calculations and perform 100000 x 10 player game simulations in less than a second.

What are the minimum system requirements for Poker Prophesier?

  • JRE 5.0 (included in the Windows installation).
  • For the GUI client, minimum 1024 x 768 resolution (higher preferred).

Note: Because of the mathematically intensive nature of Poker Prophesier, the more powerful the computer the faster the calculations will be performed and the better the overall performance.

What is an msi file?
The msi file is in Microsoft's Installation System for Windows format, which your system should automatically be able to interpret. If you double-click the file and Windows is unaware of how to handle the file, then you may not have the Windows installer program installed on your system, possibly because you are running an old version of Windows.

The Microsoft Windows Installer page contains information about the Windows installer and includes links to download the appropriate version for your system.

I've downloaded the Unix installation, how do I run the graphical client?
To run the Poker Prophesier graphical client, perform the following steps:

  1. Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the home directory of a JDK/JRE 5.0 installation.

  3. Run the run.sh script.

I want to write my own Java client which will use the simulator API, where do I start?
There is plenty of documentation both online and replicated locally in an installation.

Why doesn't Poker Prophesier work with online poker rooms or include bets, pot odds etc.?
Poker Prophesier wasn't written to be just another poker calculator - it was specifically designed to be a tool which can perform a broad range of analysis and calculate different types of odds, with a public API that anybody can use to write their own simulator client.
