Poker Prophesier is distributed separately for Windows and Linux (Unix) systems. Both distributions include a README file with installation instructions, the license and a copy of the online documentation.

Windows msi file: PokerProphesier_v1.0.0.msi (30MB - JRE included)

Linux (or any Unix) zip file: PokerProphesier_v1.0.0_unix.zip (0.5MB)

Minimum Requirements

JRE 5.0 (included in the Windows installation).
For the GUI client, minimum 1024 x 768 resolution (higher preferred).

Note: Because of the mathematically intensive nature of Poker Prophesier, the more powerful the computer the faster the calculations will be performed and the better the overall performance.

Windows Installation

Installation is automatically performed by running (i.e. double-clicking) the downloaded Poker Prophesier msi installation file.

The msi file is in Microsoft's Installation System for Windows format, which your system should automatically be able to interpret. If you double-click the file and Windows is unaware of how to handle the file, then you may not have the Windows installer program installed on your system, possibly because you are running an old version of Windows.

The Microsoft Windows Installer page contains information about the Windows installer and includes links to download the appropriate version for your system.

Linux Installation

The installation is bundled in a zip file. Unzip the file in the chosen directory to install.

To run the Poker Prophesier GUI client, perform the following steps:

Set the JAVA_HOME environment variable to point to the home directory of a JDK/JRE 5.0 installation.
Move into the bin directory of the Poker Prophesier installation.
Run the run.sh script.

License

The license file is included with the installation, and can be viewed online.
